My most successful project this year was probably my pet portrait that I painted of my dog, Buck. I think it was successful because it was something that I actually wanted to paint and I wanted for it to come out good.
If I had to do one project over again, it would have to be my repetition project just because I didn't really care what it looked like at the time so I sorta rushed through it. The changes I would make wouldn't be too big but I would just take more time doing it and being less messy with it.
Two projects that I could compare would be my value portrait from the beginning of the year and my pet portrait from closer to the end of the year. Looking back at the value portrait, I didn't really understand shading and you can obviously tell that through the picture. In the pet portrait, I had more understanding of shading and you can tell that looking between the two.
I think that an interesting unit would be something with more symmetry. Or a project that has more personal freedom.
